In 2026, Flexii (an on-demand work-matching platform operating in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan) is scaling its mission to “unlock people’s potential” through flexible work. We’re searching for a Business Analyst who can Boost🚀 Flexii’s growth to the next level.
Flexii connects employers with flexible workers across Asia. Every unfilled shift costs a business a booking and a worker a paycheck. We want someone who can build the data behind that and use it to fix things. This is a hands-on hybrid role: you’ll own our data end to end, working closely with frontend, backend, product and marketing. No handoffs. No waiting for tickets.
Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Architecture (~50%)
- Data Modeling: Design and build our analytical data model in BigQuery, starting with a worker-reliability data mart.
- Pipelines: Own and harden our pipelines from production Postgres via Datastream/CDC: schema-drift handling, data quality checks and monitoring.
- Metric Layer: Define a clear, documented metric layer (late cancels, no-shows, late check-ins, fill rate, GMV) so every team uses the same numbers.
- Event Instrumentation: Work with engineering to instrument the events we don’t track yet.
Dashboarding & Analytics (~15%)
- Core Dashboards: Build a small set of core dashboards for leadership and ops: reliability, supply/demand and client health.
- Business Questions: Turn business questions from founders and ops into well-scoped analyses with clear answers.
Data Science for Matching (~35%, growing over time)
- Reliability Analysis: Run EDA to test reliability hypotheses: which worker attributes and behaviours predict a good shift outcome.
- Scoring: Build worker reliability and quality scores that feed into worker badges and ranking.
- Matching Models: Develop and iterate on matching and recommendation models that improve job–worker fit, and measure their impact with experiments.
Required Qualifications & Qualities
- Experience: 5+ years in data science, analytics engineering or data engineering, with hands-on work across both the pipeline and the modelling side.
- SQL & Data Modeling: Strong SQL and data modelling (star schemas, marts, dbt or similar); BigQuery or another cloud warehouse.
- Production Models: Has shipped at least one predictive model or scoring system to production and measured its effect.
- Business Translation: Turns a vague business question into a testable hypothesis, and explains results plainly to non-technical team members.
Nice to Have
- Marketplace, gig-economy, logistics or two-sided matching experience (ranking, recommendations, supply–demand)
- GCP stack (Datastream, BigQuery, Cloud Composer/Airflow)
- Experiment design and causal inference
- BI tooling (Looker Studio, Power BI or similar)
- Uses AI tools heavily in your own workflow
